Hello,
I should have read more reviews about Cartikahosting.com. I read some reviews on webhostingtalk.com which were all positive. Later I tried to write a negative review about Cartikahosting and webhostingtalk.com took the post down within minutes. So probably there is some relations there or they are the ones running that website. So also, don't trust webhostingtalk.com. You can try to write anything negative about Cartikahosting and you will the review taken down within minutes. It's kind of funny and really a joke.

Cartika hosting billing will charge you for bandwidth that you have not used and they cannot even prove it themselves. It really seems that cartika hosting co is run by one or two people as it's so difficult to get in touch with anyone, especially during crucial times. They will charge your account and if you don't pay they suspend your account without even notifying you. This is really wrong.

Good provider but not so great w/ customer relations

I started leasing a dedicated server w/ them back December of 2005. At the time they were one of many dedicated server companies offering low priced servers in the 50-100 range.

With upgrades and addons I was paying 110.00/mo.

Early 2007 they imposed a 8.00 price increase. I was a bit upset considering other than electricity I was using no resources and they were making plenty of profit off me. However 8.00 is nothing and I could afford it.

Fast forward to May 2008 and again due to "cost increases" they impose another price increase. However, this time it's for 28.00 more per month.

Once again, I'm upset but I'm happy with the service so I stick with them, shelling out $146.00/mo for a very low end server.

Again fast forward to January 2010. Their billing system starts screwing up and double invoices me. Unfortunately, this happens for the next 4 months!

The last month, March 2010, their billing system manages to invoice me 8 times for one server!

I signed up March 11th, 2010 to switch from my overpriced dedicated server to cheaper cloud based hosting.

It took a few hours to get my account created. My guess is they run some credit checks to keep out the bad folks.

The cloud control panel / user interface is great. I created a basic centos virtual server w/ cpanel and it took about 15 minutes to build and spin up I would say.

When you get the cpanel option you get full managed support w/ proactive service monitoring. During setup I managed to screw up a few things and their automated monitoring system had them alerted and they were jumping in to get it fixed before I could even pick up the phone to call for help.

Overall I've been very happy. I'm seeing twice the performance at half the cost of my old dedicated server that I used to have.

Sales - Matt was the sales manager and I must say was excellent to deal with from start to finish. He was very easy to get a hold of when we needed him. There were times when dealing with tech support got so frustrating Matt would intervene and get things moving. Everything was clearly explained so I give sales an A+.

Network Reliability - Most of the time everything went very smoothly. There were a few times we experienced hours of downtime due to bad routing equipment. Other than that they have one of the best networks in the industry. A- rating on the network reliability due to the routing issues we experienced.

Tech Support - The day techs are probably some of the most knowledgable techs in the industry. I can recall one senior tech, Steve, who could find a solution to any issue. I would rate them an A for daytime support. Night/Graveyard support was by far the most frustrating issue with NAC. I have been running a reseller hosting account with Rochen for a number of years now and the service has been absolutely impeccable! Fast servers, quick responses to issues (I'm talking under 10 minutes including on the weekend) and only 2 issues in about 3 years - turns out they weren't related to the hosting platform anyway but to the proxy server at my end. All round superb service. I recommend them to anyone. The upgrade path is excellent to with the offering of managed virtual servers and managed servers should the reseller hosting no longer be enough.
